About
Following the success of our conference last year, we would like to introduce this year's event: 'Social Business - What do you really need?'.
As in previous years, this will be exclusively for social business Chief Executives and a select number of investors. It will be held on 13th November 2008 at the Emirates Stadium, London.
In order to succeed, social businesses need a stable macroeconomic and political environment, talented people and sufficient capital. Thus the topics of our sessions will be:
- Which main UK Party does the best for Social Business/Enterprise?
- How do you build a top-quality team?
- How to raise capital-what are investors really looking for?
A more detailed programme will be available in early September.
In contrast to many social sector conferences, Catalyst's one-day event focuses on the day-to-day business challenges and opportunities facing senior managers in this growing sector- not just on networking. Speakers will provide real insight into practical issues and will welcome rigorous questioning. There will be plenty of opportunity to network during the day (and a stadium tour!).
The day will start at 9:00 and finish at approximately 17:30, followed by a drinks reception. For more information please email Anisa Missaghi on researcher@catfund.com or phone our offices on (0207) 281 5948.
Please read before purchasing tickets online:
Catalyst has a strong commitment to keeping a balance of investors and CEOs of social business in order to ensure the quality and usefulness of the event to its attendees. For this reason, we will only sell tickets to invitees. If you have not been invited but are interested in attending the conference, please get in contact with us before embarking on the payment procedure. Email Rod Schwartz with a brief introduction to yourself and your company (you must be either an investor or a CEO of a social business) and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Many thanks for your understanding.

Feedback from last year's conference:
“Thanks again for organising a really useful and inspirational day yesterday. It was good to meet people, hear their stories and see how they are doing business successfully – not only being faithful to their principles, but also actively modelling socially and ethically responsible business to the rest of the business community.”
“Really energising to be in the company of such stimulating, bright and committed peers…a great learning opportunity.’
“It was a great event and something I would like to do next year too…’
