Catalyst/socialinvestment.com's first seminar was held at 06 St Chads Place. Rod Schwartz and Melanie Howard gave presentations on the trends driving the growth of social business and the role of socialinvestments.com could play in building investment.
Second Annual Social Business Conference
– 8th November 2007
Catalyst’s 2nd annual Social Business Conference was held at The Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, a brand new conference venue near London’s South Bank. The building is owned and managed by social enterprise Coin Street Community Builders.
The Inaugural Annual Social Business Conference
- 6th November, 2006
"A Working and Networking Session for Social Businesses" focused exclusively on CEOs in the social business sector. Six leading external authorities shared their expertise on hard-edged topics of interest for CEOs managing social businesses. Following very positive feedback we will be hosting a similar event in Autumn 2007.

Catalyst hosted an event for Non-Executive Directors entitled “Rising from the Ashes: Achieving Successful Exits in Today’s Environment”.

A networking event is hosted by Catalyst for Non-Executive Directors and CEOs. Entitled “Paying your board – Are You Getting It Right?”, it assesses various types of remuneration schemes and levels for the Chair and other Board Members.

Catalyst hosted a networking event entitled “Functional and Dysfunctional Boards”. This began a series of ad hoc presentations and networking events focused on dealing with real business issues in a direct way, for company board members.
